Most people here in Windsor pronounce it POONCH-KEY. Whatever you call it, we can all agree they are delicious. With the annual tradition of Paczki Day upon us once again, I thought we’d share some hot spots in and around Windsor, Ontario, to fill your paczki cravings.
BLAK’S BAKERY
Blak’s Bakery is the mecca of paczki in the region. This little bakery in Windsor has been pushing our quality paczki for over 100 years now. They anticipate making about 40,000 paczki this week alone! If you haven’t ordered ahead, be prepared for long lines or even possible no paczki for you.
SWEET REVENGE BAKE SHOP
For the first year, Sweet Revenge Bake Shop will be baking all their pazcki themselves. They’ll be serving up lemon, Nutella, custard, strawberry and raspberry flavoured paczki.
LAKESIDE BAKERY
If you’re out in the Leamington area, Lakeside Bakery is the place to go for your gluttonous orb of donut-y goodness. While you’re there you can do some other gourmet grocery shopping, too!
BRANDNER FARMS ORGANICS
Trying to be healthier but still want to shove your face full of paczki? Brandner Farms Organics is making baked (not fried) organic paczki. They’ll be serving up vanilla custard, blueberry, orange and apple flavours.
STIEMAR BAKERY
Another long established bakery in the city pumping out quality treats. Stiemar Bakery has been around for 60 years and knows a thing or two about making amazing desserts.
