With so many people in need during this time of the year, we wanted to highlight a couple businesses that are giving back to the community. While these are just three businesses, we know there are plenty more out there. If you know of a local business that is doing something extraordinary, let us know!

Every year for 16 years, Mezzo Ristorante and Lounge hosts a Christmas Day luncheon for those that may need a hot meal and good company. If your alone or know anyone that’s alone on Christmas day and want to enjoy a hot lunch complementary, please have them come by Mezzo.

They will be serving from 11am-2pm. Alongside the luncheon they have also been collecting toys, scarves, hats, gloves and books so guests can take something home with them. Donations can be dropped off at Mezzo’s prior to Christmas Day.

For a third year Craft Heads Brewing Company is closing the taproom but opening their doors for a free holiday dinner for every person who needs or wants a holiday dinner on Christmas day. The menu will be announced as items come together.

All are welcome to join, whether it is to serve, to be served, or both. If you’re interested in volunteering or know a business interested in helping out, call Craftheads and let them know.  Bread Meats Bread is helping out by donating two roasted turkeys for the dinner.

WINDSOREATS AND CBC WINDSOR

The Bright Lights Tree waffle keeps in the spirit of the event.

WindsorEats will be at Bright Lights this Thursday, December 20, 2018 collecting canned goods for the CBC Windsor Sounds of the Season food drive. We’re encouraging everyone to bring some canned goods to our Traveller at Jackson Park between 5:00pm and 10:00pm.

We’ll also be selling our Christmas Tree waffles all night, donating a portion of each sale to the food drive.
