There’s a lot happening in and around Windsor, Ontario, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

WindsorEats has put together some fun and tasty ways to get out of the house and enjoy a fun and festive celebration. Here are 5 ways we think you should be celebrating Cinco de Mayo:

THE BIGGEST CINCO DE MAYO PARTY IN WINDSOR

WindsorEats is throwing the largest Cinco de Mayo Party in Windsor, Ontario at our 400 Erie St. E. location. We’ll be bringing in live music, DJ’s, dancing classes and more to compliment to traditional Mexican food being served by Rico Taco.

Our bar will also be pumping out classic cocktails like our popular margaritas and mojitos all day and night. We’ll also still be serving our margarita flights if you haven’t had one yet.

See our Ultimate Guide for Cinco de Mayo for a complete breakdown of all the activities we’re hosting from May 4-7.

BREWING UP SOME CINCO FUN

Two breweries are releasing special Cinco de Mayo creations and celebrating in style.

Walkerville Brewery invites you to join them on Friday, May 5, from 4pm to10PM. It’ll be a night filled with festive menu specials at their new Pizza Bar, the return of their limited-edition Cinco Cerveza, plus a specialty Cinco Chelada cask!

Over in Downtown Windsor at Craft Heads Brewing Company, they’re releasing 3 beers for the special occasion. First is Fuego! Fuego! Fuego! This spiced Mexican candy sour is back and is sure to light up your taste buds with its fiery flavor. Brewed with chili peppers, tamarind, mango and peach – this sour ale packs a punch. It’s perfect for those who love a bit of heat in their beer and enjoy the sweet and sour flavors of traditional Mexican candy. Feeling Adventurous?! There’s three levels of heat to satisfy those spice addicts.

Next up, Dulce! Dulce! Dulce!, a lactose sour that is a sweet and creamy treat that will transport you to a Mexican pastry shop. Infused with prickly pear and sweet milk sugar this beer has a deliciously decadent taste. The lactose adds a creamy texture, making this beer feel like a dessert in a glass.

Finally, their Mexican-style rice ale, Chicha Horchata, is inspired by the traditional Horchata drink. We’ve brewed this beer with rice, cinnamon, and vanilla, creating a creamy, slightly sweet beer with a hint of spice that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
