Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. is showing you it’s so tasty being green.

The iconic gourmet sausage maker has released a Chorizo Verde that will deceive your eyes and please your taste buds.

The “green chorizo” is made using only green ingredients. This type of sausage is commonly found in mercados throughout Mexico, but, is a rare sighting this far north. The Chorizo Verde is made using fresh poblano peppers, cilantro, green onions, jalapeños, chives and a few more special ingredients.

The Grand Cantina sous chef, Rosemary Woods, served up this green goodie with a few special goodies of her own. She topped the Chorizo Verde with salsa containing red bell pepper, Serrano chile, jicama, Asian pear, grapefruit juice and cucumber cilantro syrup. She then drizzled in sweet chili lime sauce. That sauce may seem familiar as it’s the same one served with the coconut crusted tofu at The Grand Cantina. Rosemary then finished with chorizo spiced toasted walnuts and chopped cilantro for that extra hint of freshness.

The sausage is now available at Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. You’re definitely going to want to give Rosemary’s toppings a try. They complimented the Chorizo Verde perfectly.
