It’s time to raise a pint to celebrate two Windsor, Ontario, breweries coming home with hardware from the 2017 Ontario Brewing Awards.
Frank Brewing Co. is bringing home the bronze in the Herb/Spice Beer category for their Honey Habanero, but, the big local winner for the evening is Walkerville Brewery. They’ll be coming home with their luggage full after winning 3 awards.
They first won silver in the Scotch Ale category.
They also won silver in the Milk Stout category for their Easy Stout.
The cherry on top, however, was taking home the gold medal in the Imperial Stout category. Coincidentally, a barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout is being launched tomorrow at the brewery.
Congratulations are in order to everyone at both these fine breweries. Be sure to celebrate with them by stopping in and buying a pint…or growler…..or keg….
