RECIPE: Gamberi Arrabiata

I know what you’re thinking. “Gambe-what?”

Gamberi Arrabiata is Italian for spicy shrimp. Chef Pat Lizzi of Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge showed Arms Bumanlag and the CTV Windsor staff how to cook up a quick dish if you were even in the mood for seafood.


  • 8 jumbo shrimp
  • ½ teaspoon chili pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of pesto
  • ½ red pepper
  • ½ red onion
  • 3 tomatoes
  • ½ cup of white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • High heat.
  • Add oil, then shrimp.
  • Add all ingredients except white wine and tomatoes.
  • Throw in the fresh tomatoes and wine at the end.
