Congratulations are in order for everyone at The City Grill.
For the third consecutive year, The City Grill restaurant has received the prestigious Wine Spectator Award for 2014.
“We are thrilled to have been chosen once again this year,” said restaurant owner Matt Komsa. “Along with our wine consultant Bev Carnahan, we have worked extremely hard to develop a wine program that offers a range of interesting products at an exceptional value for our guests.”
The Wine Spectator Award is given to restaurants whose wine lists offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Typically,these lists offer a minimum of 100 selections.
“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the customer experience at The City Grill,” said Komsa, “Having a great wine list doesn’t mean having to be stuffy or pricey; it simply means offering great products, at great value, that fit with the style of food we serve at The City Grill.”
Komsa added, “The City Grill is a restaurant that easily adapts to the style of the guest and the event being celebrated, whether it’s a casual glass of wine on the patio or a formal wedding reception.”
The City Grill has ensured that the wine list compliments the restaurant’s incredible menu and its transformational style.
The City Grill is one in only 130 restaurants in Canada to receive the honour in 2014. This latest award compliments the restaurants many other culinary and dining awards and places The City Grill in a very select group.
