We’re  having a cookalong this month and everyone is invited to participate!   I love to hear about what other people are cooking and what they’ve got going on in the kitchen.  And there’s no better time to share than right now.

I know you have a holiday party or two coming up.  Potluck lunch perhaps?  Maybe a family dinner?  So take a picture of what you’re cookin’ and share!

So how does the cookalong work and how can you participate? Just post your recipe and photo on the WindsorEats Facebook page or if you have a blog post the link on the WindsorEats Facebook page.  At the end of the cookalong we’ll have a guest judge pick their favourite entry and even give away a small prize.

Everyone is welcome to participate. Our first cookalong will end December 17th.  Our theme is “Cooking for the Holidays”.  So brush up on those cooking skills, dust off those tried and true recipes and start cooking!  And don’t forget to take great photos of your final results and post the recipes on our WindsorEats Facebook fanpage.  Click on the Cookalong tab and join in on the fun!

I’ll get the party started and share a recipe that I actually posted a little while back and are easy and soooo delicious:

No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
from Ezra Pound Cake

1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 to 3 1/2 cups dry quick-cooking oats
2 teaspoons vanilla

Add the first four ingredients into a 4-quart saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil and hold for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in the next 3 ingredients and drop by tablespoons onto wax paper. Let cool until set.
