With their popularity growing, many restaurants are turning towards monthly supper clubs to give their customers a different experience from their regular visits and to keep them coming that extra time to see what is new. It also gives restaurants an opportunity to test out items that could possibly make it onto a future menu.
On Wednesday, February 24, 2010, Chanoso’s will host their February supper club and, like all their others, there will be a theme: the 1980’s! Chef Jennifer Hillis will be re-creating popular dishes from the 80’s as they will be offering a 3 course meal which includes a choices of 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert, for only $19.95.
While the menu also offers drinks from the 80’s to be paired with your meals, don’t forget that you can B.Y.O.W. (bring your own wine) as there will be no corkage fee! There will also be $20 bottles of local wines.
Guests are encouraged to dress in your favourite 1980’s gear as they may receive a special gift!

Caviar with crème froiche and potatoe blintzes
ENTREES (all entrees come with choice of starch and daily vegetable)
Blackened Striploin with a roasted tomatoe chutney

Goat Cheese Strudel with sundried tomatoe and artichoke

Mezzo Supper Club on Friday
If my memory serves me right, Mezzo Ristorante may have been the catalyst for the recent popularity/rebirth of the Supper Club in Windsor. They have been hosting them for a few years now and have been having great success.
Their next Supper Club will be hosted on Friday, February 26, 2010. Dinner reservations begin at 7:00pm, and, as always, Mezzo turns “club” at 9pm. mixed greens, ripened tomatoes, red onions and cucumbers tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette

Stuffed Salmon | shrimp and crab stuffed salmon filet, served with a limoncello saffron emulsion
Pollo Sorrentino | pan roasted chicken breast topped with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers and smoked fontina cheese
Ravioli | home made ravioli stuffed with roasted butternut squash and mutzu apple in a bacon, sun-dried tomato cream sauce
The Mezzo Supper Club ia $40.00 per person or, if you’re with a group you should ask about their group rate.
