Aleksander Estate Winery made a limited amount of their 2007 Pinot Noir. Only 420 bottles to be precise. There are so few of this wine available that AEW doesn’t even allow sampling of it.

That small quantity, and the high quality of the wine itself, has made this red a popular selection. It is  medium bodied and dry with firm tannin. A three dimensional wine featuring the sexy aroma of strawberries and red berries up front, an earthy mid-palate, and a firm moderately grippy finish.

The 2007 AEW Pinot Noir was aged 13 months in oak giving the wine a touch of spice and it can be enjoyed with hearty stews, game birds, grilled salmon and cheeses.

“It is deliciously drinkable”, says Gary Killops of Essex Wine Review. “Plain and simple, it is a very good wine. It’s one that is easy to appreciate.”
