If you’re planning on heading out to dinner this Friday, September 25, 2009, you’ll need to seriously consider going to one of the two Supper Clubs taking place here in Windsor.

In the downtown core, Junk Pan-Asian Grill is going with a ‘fall harvest’ theme for their Supper Club.

As usual, the doors will open at 6:00pm with dinner beginning at 7:00pm.  Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door with proceeds going to the United Way.  The price includes a 4-course meal and a DJ all night, which is rumoured to be DJ Abdul who is a good friend of WindsorEats and a great DJ.

The menu is as follows:

APPETIZER

Squash Soup
Fresh locally grown squash, slow roasted and pureed.  Served with a dab of sour cream.

SALAD

Harvest Tomato Salad
Leamington heirloom tomato medlet in a classic red wine vinaigrette.

ENTREE

Prime Rib
Grade A prime rib marinated and seasoned to perfection.  Served with Junk’s famous mash potato, Chef Rob’s au jus and local green beans in a butter garlic sauce.

DESSERT

Apple Pie
Fresh baked apple pie served with a slice of old cheddar cheese.

On Erie Street, Windsor’s Via Italia, Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge continues with their popular Supper Club, this time adding another element: the return of their Newlywed Game.

Maria Lacombe, a life coach from Michigan, will be the host as the Mezzo Newlywed Game will be a fun question and answer period to test just how well the newlyweds know each other.

Chef Michael Barlozarri will cook up a fantastic meal and DJ Qrius George will be doing a tribute to Michael Jackson along with playing the latest beats all night long.

Tickets are $40 and dinner reservations begin at 7:00pm and, as always, Mezzo turns club at 9:00pm.

The menu for the evening will look like this:

COURSE ONE

Mezzo Bruschetta
crostini topped with roasted sweet peppers, marinated tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions and balsamic reduction

&

Mixed Green Salad
mixed greens, ripened tomatoes, red onions and cucumbers tossed in a white balsamic vinaigrette
