Foia Restaurant‘s spring tasting is owner Rosario’s favourite of them all.
The event is being held on Friday, April 24, 2009. A 5-course meal is being offered for $40 or $70 with a wine pairing.
The meal incudes:
Appetizer
Ahi tuna seared with a truffle soy sauce and tuna tartar with sesame seeds in a citrus dressing.
Salad
Mixed greens, blueberries, strawberries and shaved almonds in a poppyseed vinaigrette.
Pasta
Camaroli rice with fresh prawns and spring onions with orange flavours.
Entree
Chicken breast stuffed with Ontario goat cheese, apricot and sage in a cranberry whiskey sauce with baby carrots in a honey mint sauce.
Dessert
In house made Nutella ice cream and a warm peanut butter sauce topped with peanut and hazelnut brittle.
