On Monday, August 11, 2008, Paesano’s Gourmet Market & Cafe will be hosting Pasture 2 Palate.
Jamie Waldron, Head Butch at Paesano’s Gourmet Market & Cafe, will demonstrate how he achieves all of your favourite cuts using fresh lamb from Ewe Dell Farms in Woodslee. Chef Mat Vickerd will then be serving a multi-course meal that features flavours and scents that will leave your palate ablaze with excitement.
Each course is paired with a Sommelier selected wine from Aleksander Estate Winery.
Below is a sneak peek at the meal being offered:
- Appetizer: Blackened & Blued Beef Custom hand cut sirloin beef tips, pan blackened in a Cajun blend of spices, served with drunken pears and a blue cheese cream sauce.
- Salad: Summer Berry Greens Fresh baby spinach capped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, sweet onion, aged parmesan and finished with a raspberry wine vinaigrette.
- Entree: Mint Pepper Lamb Hand carved oven roasted leg of lamb, set atop a chickpea & Israeli cous-cous round and finished with a mint and red pepper jelly wine reduction.
- Dessert: Fruit Medley Napoleon Multi Layered sponge cake and hand made phylo pastry with fresh hand churred cream and an abundance of fresh fruit.
