WindsorEats Wine Trail riders taking Essex County by storm!

These Wine Trail Rides just keep getting bigger and better! This time around we had 45 riders join us as we made our way from Aleksander Estate to Pelee Island Winery then to Mastronardi Estate to taste some of the phenomenal wines we have in this region.

At the end of our ride we made our way back to Aleksander Estate where Izabella, Mark and Sue completely outdid themselves. Mark cooked up a meal that I’m still salivating over.Sweet peaches and cream corn, pasta with a home made tomato sauce, and a bbq’d veal roast that was so tender it nearly melted in your mouth. Outrageous!!! And to make it even better, nearly the entire meal was made from ingredients from farms and producers in the area.

Thanks to everyone who participated! And a huge thanks to Eadie and Pamela at Mastronardi Estates, Tammy, Connie, Brandon and Casey at Pelee Island Winery, Mark, Izabela, Sue at Aleksander Estate, Maximum Edge and of course our enigmatic guide Chris “Chico” Carvallo!
