To help celebrate the Carrousel of Nations, Cafe Morena is bringing some Portuguese flavour to the festivities.
Friday, June 20 through to Sunday, June 22, 2008, , authentic Portuguese and Spanish food specials will be made available starting at 5:00pm Friday and Saturday, while Sunday the specials begin at 2:00pm.
Along with the food specials, Cafe Morena is also putting on some entertainment.
On Friday, June 20, 2008, beginning at 8:00pm to 1:30am, DJ Chino will be playing the best of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Regaton.
Saturday, June 21, 2008 will bring a live performance by Tatiana Gonzalez beginning at 5:30pm. At 7:45pm, a special folkloric Venezuelan dance performance will be put on by Irma Niklas and Jodie Sequeira, as well as a Salsa performance by Irma Niklas and Alfredo Figueredo.
On Stage 4, located on Marion Street, a live performance by the Sabor Latino Group will take place from 7:00pm – 11:00pm.
Back inside Cafe Morena, DJ Chino will once again be playing the best of Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Regaton.
Sunday, June 22, 2008 will bring another performance by Tatiana Gonzalez at 3:00pm. To offer some fun for the kids, a pinata is ready to be whacked inside Cafe Morena beginning at 3:30pm. For the final performance of the day on Stage 4 in front of Cafe Morena, there will be a Indian and Zumba live performance and live band from 5:00pm – 11:00pm.
