Just an fyi for our outdoor skating friends…because of this freakishly warm weather Parks and Recreation has closed Clark J, Clark Square and Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink.
“The good news is that people can ride their bikes on the trails in the parks, but this Florida-like weather has made the ice too soft for skating,” explains Jan Wilson, Executive Director of Recreation.
You can still get your skate on at any of the 5 five indoor arenas: Adie Knox Herman, Adstoll, Forest Glade, Riverside Memorial and South Windsor. Look in the Activity Guide or check on line at REConnect for their public skating times and days.
Call 311 for updates on the outdoor ice rinks. Parks and Recreation will be monitoring them to determine when they will re-open for public use.
