Well, it’s that time of year again, where I take a quick skip, jump and a hop over the pond to Europe.

This year before heading to Italy, I’m making a quick trip to Ireland to meet up with my sister, Rose. After a few days on the Emerald Isle, we’ll head to Rome.

On my way home, the plane makes a quick pit stop in Amsterdam, where I will frantically run down to the cheese market to pick up some fresh Edam or maybe a little Gouda.

So for the next couple of weeks I may check in and discuss how the Irish seem to have a potato recipe for every occasion or tell you about all the wonderful ways of eating a gelato or even how I’m infatuated with the Dutch transportation system (which is totally unrelated to food but seriously deserves mention here…I’m obsessed with it).

Sure it’s not Windsor or Essex County related, but variety is the spice of life and it’s always great to learn about what people are doing (or eating) in other parts of the world.

So stay tuned for updates from my European vacation! Cheers, ciao and vaarwel!
