Art in the Park
Arts, crafts and entertainment…what more could you ask for? Well, maybe ask that it doesn’t rain this year, like it seems to every year during the first week of June! Admission is $5 and kids under 12 are free.
Strawberry Festival in LaSalle
Head out to LaSalle this weekend for the 20th anniversary celebration of the Strawberry Festival! They have some great entertainment lined up: PlusMinusX, Ashes of Soma and Intra Meridian. Check out the site for details.
Poor Boy Luncheon
Head out to the Armouries for a pork shishkebob in a pita, salad and chips while supporting the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the door.
Peace Tree Celebration
Windsor joins countless other cities and organizations around the world in celebrating the annual Peace Tree Day on Friday, June 1, 2007 at 9:30 am in Charles Clark Square. Choirs from Immaculate Conception School and Dougall Public School will sing, “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and other students will loudly proclaim peace in many languages during the morning ceremony.
