The true signs of spring have arrived. Robins singing. Flowers sprouting. And bicycles shining bright.

As the weather warms up and spring makes its grand entrance, WindsorEats is thrilled to announce the return of this popular event on May 5, 2023 at 8 pm. This weekly bicycle ride takes riders on a pub crawl, visiting multiple bars, restaurants, breweries, and other fun stops along the way.

But this isn’t your average bike ride. Participants deck out their bikes (and sometimes themselves) in colourful lights, turning the streets into a neon wonderland. The sight of hundreds of brightly lit cyclists cruising through the city is truly a spectacle to behold.

And it’s not just about the decorations. Each ride offers a unique route with secret stops along the way. Past rides have included everything from playing beach volleyball while sipping on a cold beer to dancing the night away at a wine club. There was even a stop in the past at Art Windsor Essex for the launch of an Andy Warhol exhibit!

But perhaps the best part of Friday Night Lights is the community it creates. With as many as 200+ riders joining in each week, the atmosphere is electric. Riders of all ages and skill levels come together to enjoy a night of cycling and socializing. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a newbie, there’s a place for you in this group. And with so many people taking part, there’s always someone to talk to or ride with. Everyone is there to have a good time and make new friends. It’s not uncommon for riders to equip their bicycles with sound systems, providing the perfect soundtrack to the night’s festivities.

The rides depart from WindsorEats each Friday at 8pm and run through to the end of September. We encourage you to get there early to enjoy some food and beverages before hitting the road.

You can purchase your tickets in advance for $6 online or day of at WindsorEats for $10 cash.
