A little bit of Detroit is coming to Windsor as a former Blind Owl mixologist is partnering with WindsorEats to bring in some cocktails created by the D’s finest mixologists to the this side of the border.

This free-to-attend event will see bartenders from Detroit’s popular cocktail bar, The Sugar House, Windsor cocktail popup, Gnarlys Tiki Co., and former Windsor mixologist, Bryon Umbenhower, create cocktails that will be served at our 400 Erie St. E. location this Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

Gnarlys Tiki Co. will also be preparing food like Hawaiian style pulled pork, Korean hotdogs and Huli Huli chicken legs.

David Mitton, the Global Ambassador of Canadian Whisky for Pernod Ricard, will also be on site.

Some of the cocktails that will be created for the event include The Wiser Queen (with Granny Smith apple juice and cinnamon syrup), a South D Sweet Tea, and more!

The event is part of a dual popup, with one taking place on each side of the border. First, the bartenders will all be serving their cocktails at The Sugar House in Detroit on Tuesday, August 30, from 5pm to midnight. Then, on Wednesday, they’ll head over to WindsorEats and be serving those same cocktails from 5pm to 11pm.

Spread the word to all your friends and take advantage of this unique opportunity to enjoy some cocktails created by Detroit’s finest without all the hassle of having to cross the border.
