The last time Tropical Hut Philippine Cuisine was at the Outdoor Food Hall, their spring rolls were all the rage. While those spring rolls are returning, so are some new dishes that are absolute must-try.
No, not the boy band from the 70’s. Menudo is a classic comfort food in Filipino cuisine. Simply put, it’s pork stew over rice. It’s a classic dish at almost every Philippine gathering and on dining room tables. In almost every Philippine town fiestas or gatherings, Pork Menudo can be seen in the dining table.
Palabok is white noodles (like Udon, but it’s not) with a mixture of ground pork and seafood sauce garnished with 2 pieces of jumbo shrimp, boiled eggs, pork rind, smoke fish, roasted garlic and green onions. Can you say delicious?!
How about a little dessert? Turon are bananas that are wrapped in spring roll wrappers and deep fried. A very popular dessert in the Philippines and perfect to munch on at the Outdoor Food Hall.
