Easter is here! There are lots of options out there for this weekend. We’ve rounded up a few great options you might not have heard about to help you eat your way through Easter weekend.

 

GOOD FRIDAY

FISH FRY SPECIALS AT WOLFHEAD DISTILLERY

Lake Erie perch, jumbo shrimp, blackened catfish, cod fish n chips, breaded shrimp basket….it’s what makes a great fish fry. Head over to Wolfhead Distillery from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm to partake in a fish feast. Reservations required and prices range from $15 to $20 plus tax.

GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH & DINNER AT MARKET BUFFET IN CAESARS WINDSOR

The Market Buffet at Caesars Windsor will be featuring salmon, haddock and shrimp, chicken, pork belly, lamb and prime rib. Desserts include carrot cake, raspberry crème brulee, caramel chocolate cheesecake, peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm and is $21.74 per person. Dinner is served from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm and is $30.99 per person.

GOOD FRIDAY AT NEROS STEAKHOUSE

Enjoy a special seafood menu, prepared by Neros Steakhouse’s talented chefs featuring arugula salad, black cod and carrot cake just to name a few! Dinner is served from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

FISH FRY AT THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH 255

Visit the Riverside Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255, 5645 Wyandotte Street East, on Good Friday for a delicious fish dinner from 11:30 am to 9:00pm. They’ll be serving up filets of halibut, Atlantic cod or Lake Erie yellow perch and all dinners include your choice of side.

THE WINDSOR CLUB

Begin the Easter weekend with the fish feature at The Windsor Club. Take a bite out of one or two pieces of beer battered pickerel with fries and coleslaw. Not a fan of fish? Regular dining menu is available. There is also a take out option available for fish feature between 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and pre-orders encouraged.

EASTER ACTIVITIES

HIKE 42 AT NORTH 42 DEGREES ESTATE WINERY

Hike 42 at North 42 Degrees Estate Winery might not be your typical Easter event, but it’s definitely worth mentioning! The day includes a guided exploration of the property, from vineyard to woods, with a focus on plant and animal life, soil types, air conditions and a little micro-biology thrown in. And, see why “forest bathing” rejuvenates the whole person. A lunch, provided by Bistro 42, is served outdoors midway through the hike. Visit their event page for additional information and tickets.

ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT AT COLCHESTER RIDGE ESTATE WINERY

Colchester Ridge Estate Winery‘s popular egg hunt is back and better than before.  Join in the hunt on Saturday, April 20. Search for eggs, solve the puzzle and win great prizes. Then kick back with your CREW and enjoy lunch, wine, and live music along our vineyard. DIRTY POUTINE EXPERIENCE

Do you love poutine? If so, the Dirty Poutine Experience on Saturday is a great way to get out of the house with family…or get away from them. We won’t judge. It’s the world’s only exclusively poutine food tour. Explore dark alleys covered with graffiti and learn historical Canadian facts on your way to taste a variety of different takes on Canada’s most well-known comfort food. Warning: This tour is dirty, tasty and gluttonous. Tickets are $45 per person.

EASTER EGG HUNT & ACTIVITIES AT CHIMCZUK MUSEUM

Two days of fun at the Chimzcuk Museum. On Saturday, April 20 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, families can complete an Easter themed scavenger hunt for a prize and there will be Easter themed crafts in their Children’s Gallery available all day long.

Then on Sunday, April 21 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, join in a children’s Easter Egg Hunt starting promptly at 11:15 am. The museum will also be offering an Easter themed scavenger hunt and Easter themed crafts all day long.

ANNUAL EASTER EGG-STRAVAGANZA

Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens is hosting scavenger hunts all weekend long. The Easter Bunny will even be in attendance for those mandatory photo ops.

EGGS-TRA SPECIAL EASTER WEEKEND AT ADVENTURE BAY

Head to Adventure Bay to enjoy all the rides and slides with full hours Friday and Saturday, as well as special hours and rates on Monday.

ESSEX COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT

On Saturday, April 20, join in the 18th Annual Essex Community Easter Egg Hunt. Children (infants to grade 6) can participate in an egg hunt with 25,000 eggs, a BBQ (free for kids, $2 for adults), face-painting and a chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

DOGGONE EASTER B’EGG HUNT IN AMHERSTBURG

On Saturday, April 20, Second Chance Animal Rescue Windsor-Essex is holding a Doggone Easter B’Egg Hunt.  There will be a BBQ available by donation and great prizes for participants. Visit their event page for additional information.

 

EASTER BRUNCH

WILLISTEAD MANOR’S EASTER BRUNCH

Thyme Kitchen is hosting an Easter brunch buffet at the beautiful Willistead Manor. Seatings are available from 11:00 am or 1:00 pm. Tickets are $40 per person or $20 per person for kids 12 and under. Children 3 and under are free. Contact Thyme Kitchen to make your reservation.

EASTER SUNDAY AT MARKET BUFFET

Key Lime pie, anyone?

From savoury to sweet, the Market Buffet special Easter Sunday brunch has you covered. Brunch takes place from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm and is $25.99 per person.

EASTER BRUNCH AT THYME KITCHEN

Head over to Thyme Kitchen in downtown Windsor for an all-you-can-eat app station, a dessert station, selection of mains made to order, and a mini Easter Egg Hunt. Cost is $30 per person and reservations are required.
