Thai food is about so much more than Pad Thai. Yes, it’s delicious, but, Thai food as a whole has such a wide range of flavours. Sweet and sour. Salty and spicy. It’s got everything.

That being said, we went to Thai Time and had the opportunity to branch out from ordering Pad Thai. Here are 5 Thai dishes we you need to eat.

You get to choose whether you want it chicken, beef or tofu. I chose beef. Whatever you choose is then marinated with lemon juice, ground rice, fresh mint leaves, green onions, red onions, and cilantro. It’s then served with a side of fresh cucumber and steamed rice.

Traditionally called Khao Pad Sup Pa Rod, the halved pineapple is filled with Thai jasmine fried rice with fresh sweet pineapple, onions, peas, carrots, and eggs topped with roasted cashew nuts.

You can choose to include tofu, chicken, beef, shrimp or squid, mussel and shrimp.

If you’re new to the world of Pad Thai, the dish is stir-fried rice noodles, eggs, and bean sprouts with tamarind sauce. It’s then garnished with roasted peanuts, lime, fresh bean sprouts, carrots, and green onions.
