According to the Metro Times Detroit, Bread Meats Bread and Motor Burger are opening locations in Detroit in an exciting new venture. The Detroit Shipping Company is set to launch a new entertainment venue, food hall, and beer garden in the Cass Corridor.
Set to open in the spring, it will be comprised of 21 repurposed shipping containers and will compose the roughly 12,000-square-foot space.
The Detroit Shipping Company website describes the venture as “a restaurant collective and beer garden offering affordable upscale street food, two full bars, space for start-up retailers, and galleries featuring local artists. All situated Cass Corridor’s newest architectural attraction.”
The venture has been a long time in the making. In 2015, Eater described it as one of the most anticipated food halls in the U.S.
Owners of both businesses declined to comment when we contacted them.
