The iconic Malic’s Delicatessen, open since 1929, is under new ownership. Alex Ethier, who is a formally trained chef, came to Windsor from Montreal and is looking to bring the restaurant back to it’s roots.
The chef, who has taken over Malic’s along with his mother, has brought in new equipment and is currently sourcing his Montreal smoked meat from Lesters, and cooking it in authentic Montreal style.
On top of great taste, he’s also revamped and added some of the dishes, ensuring guests leave full with sandwiches ready to topple over. Also, take a gander at this Jumbo Smoked Meat Poutine!
