Our home and native land sure has some tasty treats to serve this weekend.

There are many ways to be celebrating Canada’s 150th. Here’s a little timelines of how our weekend will be food focused and fun filled.

Walkerville Brewery Launches New Beer

Even though Walkerville Brewery will be open Canada Day from 11:00am to 7:00pm, they’re starting the celebrations a day earlier.

On Friday, June 30, the brewery is launching a brand new and very Canadian beer: Maple Moose, a honey maple brown ale. The night of the launch there will also be a Canadian photography exhibit, live entertainment, food, swag giveaways and more. Yay Canada!

The beer launches at 4:00pm on Friday.

A Bowl of Ramen Starts Any Party Off Right

Oh. My. Ramen.

Eros Asian Eatery will be open on Saturday from noon to 3:00pm. We strongly suggest heading there to start the celebrations off on a full belly with one of their ramen bowls. You won’t be disappointed.

Fire Up The Grill!

Sausages!
Sausages!

In the mood to cook at home instead? Head to The Butcher of Kingsville between 9:00am and 5:00pm on Saturday to get everything you need for the perfect Canada Day BBQ in your backyard.

You can also swing by Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co. between 10:00am and 4:00pm. We recommend getting there as early as possible as one of their most sought after and most elusive links, the Bacon Cheese Burger Sausage, gets released. Last year it sold out in under 2 hours and people lined up outside the door waiting for us them open. This sausage is only available Canada Day weekend and Labour Day weekend.

Enjoy a Poutine from Road Chef

Bring the kids to LaSalle for the Canada Splash Bash from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and enjoy a slew of free family activities, from ice skating, swimming and more.

Once you’ve built up a hunger, walk over to Road Chef for their Great Canadian Poutine, made with Prince Edward Island French fries smothered with gravy and St. Albert cheese curd.

Get Loud and Proud

Later in the evening, swing by Walkerville Tavern as the Tartan Army will get loud and proud, playing from 5:00pm and 9:00pm.

While you’re there, order their Todd Father burger, named one of our Must-Try Burgers of 2017.
