Our first tour of Detroit bars was so popular we’re doing it again!

On Friday, May 27, 2016, WindsorEats has scheduled another D-Tour to venture to the Motor City. Travelling by school bus to some of Detroit’s hidden gems, there will be four stops to bars that are oldies but goodies, including Tom’s Tavern and Dakota Inn Rathskeller.

Tom’s Tavern, one of the oldest bars in all of Detroit, may appear like an abandoned shack, but this tiny pub is rich with history dating back to the 1920′s, which includes a few fires, burglary and prohibition. This is definitely a bar you want to add and cross off of your bucket list.

Dakota Inn Rathskeller is more than just a bar, it’s an all-around German experience! They lived through prohibition and have been serving up German food, drinks and culture since the 1930′s. Not only can you eat and drink, you can sing and dance to live piano performances all night long as well.

We’ll even be taking in a great new sport called fowling at The Fowling Warehouse. Part football. Cart bowling. Completely awesome. You’ll be able to enjoy a pint while hitting the fowling courts.

Space is limited. The tour will begin at 6:30 p.m and return to Windsor at approximately midnight.

Guests must be 21 and over to attend and have a valid passport.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased tickets online.
