Here at WindsorEats we like to think it’s our duty to celebrate those little food holidays that no one has any clue about.
Today is National Homemade Bread Day and we’re honouring it with a throwback to some recipes we’ve posted in the past, like the Irish Soda Bread shown smothered in jam, above.
So celebrate by making a loaf or head out to some of our great bakeries like The Little White Kitchen, Blak’s Bakery, Italia Bakery and K&T Specialty Foods to celebrate with a rye, pumpernickel or brioche. Mmmm mmm!
And don’t worry if you have leftover bread. You can always make this Brown Bread & Irish Whiskey Ice Cream with any loaves that remain.
