Wine Trail Ride cycling tour's long table dinner in the vineyard

In anticipation of the start of our 2014 Wine Trail Rides cycling tour season, we brought  Mark Muzzin of The Butcher of Kingsville into the CTV Windsor studio with us. To finish off each Wine Trail Ride, we sit guests down to a locally sourced, long table dinner in the vineyard and Mark was willing to give Arms Bumanlag and the CTV viewers a taste of what to expect on a tour.

Today, Mark showcased for us a Smoked Boston Butt. Here is his recipe for you to make at home:

Classic Pulled Pork
(serves 10)


  • 6 lb boneless pork shoulder
  • 3 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • BBQ Sauce


  • Smoke or roast at 280F for 5 hours or until tender (or low in the slow cooker)
  • Pull apart in small pieces (or slice if cooled)
  • Add your favourite BBQ sauce
