Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge owner stands in from of the recently renovated lounge

Mezzo Ristorante & Lounge has just completed a renovation of their lounge.

“We’re just trying to get more use out of the area so we thought of the concept of doing a Mezzo executive lounge”, says co-owner Filip Rocca. With that, Mezzo has removed all the couches and sofa chairs from the lounge and added some highball tables.

“You can have some business meetings here now,” says Filip. “The couches we found to be great but to have a meeting sitting on a couch was just not feasible.”

The decor, complete with paintings of local artists and provided by Nancy Johns Gallery, isn’t the only thing to undergo some changes. They’ve created a tapas menu specifically for the lounge area as well.

“Right now we’re planning pulled pork, smoked chicken and lamb sliders,” says co-owner and chef Michael Barlozzari. “We’re going to try to pair our house glasses or wine with the tapas dishes as well.”

Seating has actually increased by a few extra seats, and there is now more room for stand up conversations as well. The changed style of seating also allows for a higher probability of renting the space for birthday parties and office meetings.
