Winter Bites Culinary Week

One of downtown Windsor’s newest restaurants, The City Grill is participating in Winter Bites Culinary Week for the first time. For those who have never been but have always wanted to, this is the perfect opportunity to try the restaurant out. The interior is absolutely stunning. Equally stunning, The City Grill’s Winter Bites menu has some options I am dying to try.

Here is a showcase of the 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on The City Grill dinner menu:

Slow Roasted Beet Salad
Any type of roasted vegetable is good for me! Plus, beets are good for you.

Wild Boar Osso Bucco Risotto
Anytime risotto is on a menu my eyes are immediately drawn to it. Another reason we decided on this dish: how often do you have the opportunity to eat wild boar?

Peanut Butter Chocolate Volcano Cake
Peanut butter + chocolate = as close to heaven as you can get while still alive.

The full Winter Bites Culinary Week dinner  menu from The City Grill can be viewed here and runs for $35 per person.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation. Prices do not include taxes, beverages or gratuity.
