Winter Bites Culinary Week

The only Middle Eastern restaurant participating in the 2012 Winter Bites Culinary Week, Mazaar Lebanese Cuisine is sure to be a busy place for the next 7 days. The downtown Windsor restaurant, whose name translates to “the place you must visit” combines friendly service and an and beautiful decor and design.

Mazaar is offering a 5 course menu, with the first 2 courses being Hummus Dip and Feta Fattoush. Here is a showcase of the remaining 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on their dinner menu:

Stuffed Grape Leaves
If you’re going to dine at the only Middle Eastern restaurant participating in the 2012 Winter Bites Culinary Week, you have to go with the traditional, and popular, Stuffed Grape Leaves.

Shish Tawook
Another favourite of ours whenever we visit Mazaar. We never leave disappointed. Shish Tawook consists of charbroiled marinated chicken breast, served with garlic dip.

Baked Chocolate Mocha Mousse
Mazaar is allowing you to choose any item from their dessert menu, but the fact they went out of their way to list the Baked Chocolate Mocha Mousse makes me think it’s definitely worth the try.

The Winter Bites Culinary Week dinner menu from Mazaar Lebanese Cuisine can be viewed here. The dinner menu is $35 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation.
