Winter Bites Culinary Week

Participating in their first Winter Bites Culinary Week, La Contessa Ristorante will be showcasing the flavours that have made them a destination for many in Windsor’s Little Italy for many years. La Contessa is known for its home made pastas, hand stuffed ravioli, and fresh sauces. Their faithful clientele come in and enjoy the sampling menu of seasonal dishes and traditional family recipes, while enjoying the classic decor.

Here is a showcase of the 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on their dinner menu:

Eggplant Parmigianna
When you think of Italian cuisine, there are few dishes more traditional than Eggplant Parmigianna.

House Salad
Sometimes simplicity is the best choice.

Gerrilini
After being reserved with the first two choices, we’ll go with La Contessa’s own renowned creation for our final pick. The Gerrilini consists of silky sheets of homemade pasta, rolled with fresh ricotta and spinach and served with fresh tomato sauce.

Both the lunch and dinner Winter Bites Culinary Week menus from La Contessa Ristorante can be viewed here. The La Contessa lunch menu is $15 per person and the dinner is $35 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation.
