That’s right! Eat Your City Restaurant Week officially began yesterday! Mayor and City Council have even proclaimed August 1-7, 2010 as Eat Your City Week.
We encourage you to head out to the participating restaurants and have a great meal. Call ahead and make reservations as some of the restaurants are often quite busy. And if you do head out and the restaurant hasn’t provided you with an Eat Your City menu….just ask!

Chocolate & Fruit Wine Tastings at Colio Estate Winery
For the entire Eat Your City 2010 week Colio Estate Winery is inviting everyone to join the fun and try their fruit flavoured wine beverages; the all new Girls’ Night Out Tropical Tango and Strawberry Samba.These wines are perfect summer sippers! For those red wine lovers, Colio will also have their 2007 vintage Cabernet Franc paired with a delicious medium dark chocolate. What could be better than wine and chocolate together?
Free Outdoor Movie: The Princess Bride
On Friday, August 6 WindsorEats and the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association, with the support of Slice of Style, Chanoso’s Restaurant and Oishii Sushi Bar invites you to a free outdoor film screening of The Princess Bride. The activities will begin at 6:30pm with the film starting at 9:30pm . All the activity takes place at the Chatham St. W. and Pelissier intersection in Downtown Windsor. Slice of Style will be offering free mini manicures/pedicures for moms and their daughters, a free cupcake decorating station and family tree crafts. They’ll also be selling their infamous chocolate dipped strawberries and treats. Chocolate dipped pringles….need I say more?
