It’s a celebration of all things local this weekend. Not only do we have the Amherstburg Farmers Market which officially opened for the season last weekend. This weekend the Downtown Farmers Market kicks off! You have no idea how excited I get when I think that just 2 years ago, this region didn’t have any farmers markets and now we have two! It can only get better as they each take root and begin to flourish and continue to promote our farmers and all that we have locally.
While I’m celebrating the official opening of the Downtown Farmers Market, Adriano will be heading out to Sobey’s at Tecumseh Mall ( Tecumseh Road at Lauzon Parkway) in Windsor,for the Grown Right Here campaign launch.
Stop by between 10 am to 4pm and say hello. There will be displays from the region, food samples, special guests, “There’s No Taste Like Home” mobile education trailer, draws and gifts. There will be an official media lauch from 11 am to 12 noon but you are invited to help us celebrate local and the region.
