Foia and Avanti Both Release New Years Eve Menus

Foia Restaurant and Ristorante Avanti have both released their New Years Eve 2009 menus.

Foia will be accepting reservation for their first seating from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and it will be a la carte off the menu. However, they will be doing something special for their second seating. Doors will open for their second seating at 8:00pm with a fantastic 7-course dinner beginning at 9:00pm. Here is a sneak peak at the menu:

Soup
Lobster bisque with cognac poached lobster medallions

Salad
Tuna sashimi with cucumbers and organic mixed greens in a wasabi balsamic vinaigrette

Pasta
Duck and rapini stuffed ravioli in a grand marnier infused cream sauce

Entree
Australian sea salt and fresh mint encrusted Ontario lamb served with candied organic baby carrots in a red currant port sauce

Cheese
Ages manchego with a warm pecan honey

Dessert
a ying yang of chocolate mousses

Tickets are $85 per person for the second seating and include a champagne toast and party favours at midnight.

Avanti, located in the Ottawa St. Village on Hall just off the intersection with Ottawa St.,  will be using a theme for their NYE celebration, creating a 4-course lobster dinner.

Home made lasagna baked with a lemon lobster cream sauce

Lobster Wellington
Lobster tail, brie cheese, spinach, wrapped in a golden brown puff pastry

Sweet Ending
Chefs choice of dessert

Avanti owners, the brother duo of Dan and Anthony Ferriolo, are offering this menu for $60 per person. However, showing their love for WindsorEats, they are offering $5 off for any guests mentioning WindsorEats when they call for reservations or make their reservations through our site.
