Foia Restaurant and Ristorante Avanti have both released their New Years Eve 2009 menus.
Foia will be accepting reservation for their first seating from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and it will be a la carte off the menu. However, they will be doing something special for their second seating. Doors will open for their second seating at 8:00pm with a fantastic 7-course dinner beginning at 9:00pm. Here is a sneak peak at the menu:

Lobster bisque with cognac poached lobster medallions

Tuna sashimi with cucumbers and organic mixed greens in a wasabi balsamic vinaigrette

Duck and rapini stuffed ravioli in a grand marnier infused cream sauce

Australian sea salt and fresh mint encrusted Ontario lamb served with candied organic baby carrots in a red currant port sauce
Cheese
Ages manchego with a warm pecan honey

a ying yang of chocolate mousses
Tickets are $85 per person for the second seating and include a champagne toast and party favours at midnight.
Avanti, located in the Ottawa St. Village on Hall just off the intersection with Ottawa St., will be using a theme for their NYE celebration, creating a 4-course lobster dinner.
