2018 already has a casualty in Windsor’s food and drink scene.
Owner, Saskia Scott, revealed in a post on the bakery’s Facebook page this morning that the business is taking a step back from physical expansion to focus on innovative specialty products at their Wyandotte location.
“One thing they never mention in business is stepping back. They always talk about growth, expansion, and moving forward. Any mention of stepping back is always met with an assumption of failure,” Saskia said in the post. “Our ‘failures’ are sometimes necessary for reflection and growth.”
The Red Seal Pastry Chef also stated that her goal is to create a high end brand of “wicked desserts” for Windsor by trying new ideas and products.
“I don’t want to be that business who got too big and forgot about quality. I want to focus on creating the best possible items for you our customer.”
