In addition to their traditional Shish Duo offering and more, Mazaar, located in downtown Windsor, Ontario, is pulling out all the big guns on their 2018 Winter Bites Restaurant Week menu with new menu items just for the special week.
Here are four of our favourites that are only available for a limited time. Winter Bites Restaurant Week runs through to the end of this Sunday, January 21.
Shawarma Tacos
A perfect fusion: tacos and a shawarma. Filled with beef shawarma, mint tahini drizzle and beetroot chips, this first course offering was absolutely brilliant and creative.
Mazaar Poutine
How Canadian can you get? Take our national dish, the poutine, and put a multicultural spin on it with fresh cut fries, cheese curds and house gravy, topped with chicken shawarma and garlic drizzle.
Moghrabiyeh
Did we struggle to pronounce it? Yes. Did we struggle to eat it? Absolutely not! Beef tenders, chicken breast, pearl semolina and chickpeas, simmered with chicken and beef stock provided a lovely texture and flavour.
Osmaliyeh Booza
One of the simple, yet best, desserts I’ve had in a while. You can choose between kashta or pistachio Lebanese ice cream, served with shredded filo dough and a hint of rose water. *drool*
