Alma Hollingshead serves some of her award winning wines at Erie Shore Vineyard

Chambourcin Rosé – $7.95
A popular chilled summer red wine made of 100% Chambourcin, fermented away from the grape skins, resulting in a pleasant cherry-pink coloured wine with little or no tannins. Very Fruity! Flavours of strawberry-cherry-raspberry, sweet rhubarb and grapefruit finish. Very smooth mouth feel, fresh, with clean finish. Excellent on a hot Essex County day. Nicely Matched with seafood, cheese, esp. gouda, grilled vegetables, appetizers, salads, shell fish, white meats, wraps, Thai, Curry and Chinese.

Summer Sun Cabernet, $9.95
Ever popular Summer Sun is 100% Cabernet Franc grapes that are fermented away from the skins and seeds. This results in a very pleasant, soft, salmon-pink coloured red wine with little to no tannins, while maintaining subtle Cabernet flavours. Serve chilled. Vibrant citrus nose, with a hint of sweetness. Dry finish. Nicely Matched with seafood, cheese, grilled vegetables, appetizers, salads, wraps, and hot-spicy foods.

Since you’re out that way, they’ve also added a couple of their white wines to the sale list.

“The Chardonnay and Blanc de Blancs are the best deal we have at $5 off,” explains Alma Hollingshead. “The Chardonnay is on special because we are getting ready to bottle the 2016, and its amazing. Our Chardonnays can easily age for at least 10 years. The Blanc is also a great deal. It is dry and a wonderful, lighter white-similar in weight to a Pinto Grigio.”

Unoaked Chardonnay $8.95
The 2011 is an exceptional vintage. Delightful apple, light fruitiness, naturally buttery with lovely smoothness and richness. Unoaked. Excellent balance and new look. Will age exceptionally. Nicely Matched with most main courses including: chicken, beef, game, lamb, pork, vegetables, cream sauces, most cheeeses, pizza, Thai, and Chinese.

Blanc de Blancs $7.95
A great aromatic vintage. Lovely, crisp dry white wine. Fragrant, floral bouquet, crisp finish, great balance and mouth feel. Citrus, with subtle peach, apple, pear and kiwi. Nicely Matched with appetizers, seafood, shell fish, pates, fruit and cheese.
