WindsorEats is looking to change the way people think when they hear “Sausage Party”.
On Friday, October 30, 2015, to celebrate the grand opening of Robbie’s Gourmet Sausage Co., WindsorEats will be hosting our very first Sausage Party!
The Sausage Party will take place at Robbie’s, located at the corner of Wyandotte St. E. and Gladstone in the Walkerville neighbourhood and will take place from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
The very intimate location (capacity is limited) will feature Robbie Bornais grilling up his gourmet meat for you to purchase:
- Buffalo Hot Wings Sausage: looks like a sausage, tastes like a hot wing. Enough said.
- Boilermaker Sausage:a traditional Irish sausage made with Walkerville Brewery’s IPA and whiskey, this bad boy was a hit at our recent Windsor Craft Beer Festival.
- BBQ Chicken & Ribs Sausage: pork sausage with smoked chicken, infused with gourmet Guinness BBQ sauce.
Robbie’s will also have plenty of sausage for you to grab inside…to take home, of course! (Get your mind out of the gutter!) So bring your friends and try their sausage as they try yours while the sounds of old school Motown fill the air.
The WindsorEats Traveller will also be on site serving up some good local beers from Brew.
Our plan is for it to grow…from a little Sausage Party celebrating the opening of Robbie’s Gourmet Sausages to a full fledged Sausage Fest with juicy sausages from across the land converging on Windsor for those to behold.
If you’re wanting to make it part of a night, the Sausage Party will be a stop on our final Friday Night Lights bike ride of the evening. Since it’s happening on Devil’s Night (spoooooky!), we’re encouraging our riders to not only deck their bikes out in lights, but, to also deck themselves out in costumes! So to explain it briefly: it’s a Halloween pub crawl on bikes. We’re pretty much trick or treatin’ for beer!
