Have you got your tickets yet? One of Windsor’s great food events is happening May 21 at Caesars Windsor and you won’t want to miss it. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex is hosting it’s 29th Battle of the Hors D’oeuvres and it’s sure to be a night of good food and good fun for a good cause.
As with every year, you can expect amazing, creative dishes served up by some of this city and county’s best chefs. My favourite part of the evening is just walking around and watching how each dish is plated and the work that goes into each one.
You even get to vote for your favourite dish! The People’s Choice gives attendees the opportunity to travel from station to station sampling hors d’oeuvres. When they’ve decided which one they like best, they place their vote by dropping a glow bracelet into a jar placed on the restaurant’s serving station. The bracelets are counted and a winner is declared!
Some of this year’s establishments include Rino’s Kitchen, Snack Bar-B-Q, Neros Steakhouse, The Willistead Restaurant, Caesars Windsor, Parkside Grille, Thyme to Go and many others.
If you haven’t attended this event before……well…why not?? We always have a great time and love working the room, tasting, sipping and chatting all night.
