Rumour on the street was that Rampersad’s Roti was a great spot to have a bite to eat.  So today I headed over with a group of co-workers to check out their Winter Bites menu.

A few in our group are vegetarians and Rampersad’s Roti has an extensive selection.  Their $10 3 course Winter Bites menu offers ability to order an entire vegan meal. A first for Winter Bites!  First up was a spinach and dahl fritter with a mango chutney to dip into.

For the second course I went with the curried potato/channa that was wrapped inside a roti and for dessert, the coconut rice pudding.  It was a heck of a lot of food and once again, Sean was the winner as I took home the leftovers.

Rampersad’s was definitely busy for lunch and everyone in the place ordered from the Winter Bites menu!  It was so great to see.  Since Winter Bites started yesterday, restaurants have been telling us they’ve been busy bees.  They are seeing an increase in customers and they’re coming in to take part in the culinary week.
