WindsorEats has a chance to receive $100,000 from Pepsi Refresh to host an event that celebrates arts, culture and food in our community!

The WindsorEats Culinary Arts Festival is designed to celebrate everything that is great about the region we live in.  The event will highlight the exceptional diversity in cuisine, talented artists and agriculture that is abundant in Essex County.

Windsor-Essex has faced many challenges in the last few years.  The economic troubles of the auto industry has taken a toll on Windsor’s own economy.  But our region still has many fantastic things to offer. This festival will showcase everything unique that Windsor-Essex has to offer, how great a region we are and how much we have to offer not only to visitors, but also to residents.

The festival will focus on what is available regionally through our culinary assets and promote supporting local business, farms, restaurants and artists.

“This festival can help in providing an economic boost to local businesses and artists,” explains Adriano Ciotoli, co-owner of WindsorEats.com, a culinary guide for Windsor-Essex.  “A festival that celebrates everything that is positive in our community will in turn create and continue to foster a pride within it’s residents.  But we need your help to make it happen We need you to vote every single day.  Each person can vote up to 10 times a day.”

Voting begins January 4, 2011 and ends February 28, 2011.
