Dan and Nancy at Trusty Food To You (TFTY) are doing a great deed this holiday season and are asking for your assistance in helping those in need. A percentage of all of their TFTY sales from now until Christmas will be used for donating food items from their local suppliers to the local food bank. They are asking that together we give the gift of fresh, healthy, local food to families in need in our own small way.

“With the current state of our local economy, I felt it is a duty to help those who need it as much as you can”, says Dan. “Using our connections with local food, this is simply an efficient way that we can help out.”

Also, gift meal baskets will be going up on TFTY’s new website within the next 24hrs. These “gift meal baskets” will be a great way to send a gift to a family member or friend and TFTY will deliver it to their home in a nice, attractive package. Simply fill out that person’s address in the shipping information section of their online order form and feel free to include a special message that they will fill out in a holiday card. Do this in the “comments” section of their online order form.

There will be 3 “themed” gift meal baskets: everything required for a nice roast beef dinner, fish dinner, and a quick & convenient heat-n-eat items dinner.

More gift items will be available soon.

The delivery to the food bank will take place on December 22 so purchase now and feel good about making the holiday season better for those in need.

Sales that happen between December 22-31 will be included as well but will be delivered to the food bank at the beginning of the new year.

Also, because of the success of Trusty Food To You, Tredki Acres Farm has undertaken a bit of a change. While they will still grow various berries to use in making their jams, Dan states that they will no longer be offering the pick-your-own service.

“We will offer our berries in our farm store, the Amherstburg Farmers Market, and within our Trusty Food To You local food delivery service.” He also mentions that they will no longer be offering a corn maze or hosting field trips. “Trusty Food To You is growing rapidly”, he says. “There are some amazing things happening with Trusty Food To You over the next few months and I must focus on this in order to push it into the next stage.”

So when purchasing your groceries for your holidays dinners and parties, remember to check out Trusty Food To You! on their new website or on Facebook!
