It’s a blogger’s world

Since starting our own blog here at Windsoreats, I’ve become a crazy person. Gone are the days when I would go for lunch or dinner and simply eat the food and go.  Nowadays, my trusty old Nikon Coolpix follows me everywhere and I snap photos of everything plated in front of me.  From a full course meal to a cup of cappuccino, food has become my muse.

Cappuccino

Those who know me have simply just accepted it as part of my “quirkiness” and even join in the photo session, posing with their meals or arranging a shot for me.  I’m always on the look out for new and interesting food blogs to catch up on what is new, interesting and exciting in food from another person’s perspective or different part of the world.

For me, what makes a blog interesting is not only the text, but the photos and the design. I love a good food photo and a clean design. So having a great picture and a non-cluttered look to the site to go along with that story is important. Not to say that what the blogger writes isn’t that important. I love hearing what others are up to and what their different experiences bring to the table. But having a delicious site that is appealing to the eye goes a long way for me.

Here are just a few blogs that I think are a good read:

Maple Syrup and Poutine…This is a local girl!
Foodtv.ca:  Food for Thought Cooking with Amy
Delicious Days
Tastespotting
Love and Olive Oil

You must get some interesting responses from your servers. It’s not every day that you see someone posing and shooting their food.
