This weekend, it’s all about the cocktails.
Thanks to the resurgence of cocktail culture, the popularity of Amaro has exploded in North America. Traditionally served as a digestif postprandial, these herbal elixirs are aromatic, bitter, sweet, earthy, pungent, spicy and an essential ingredient in many cocktails served at Blind Owl. They are also delicious on their own and are so deeply loved by the Blind Owl staff that they wanted to spread the love and dedicate an afternoon to introducing guests to the various faces of amaro.
On Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 1:30 to 3:30, guests will be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine before tasting through a flight of 6 amari while learning about the history and culture of the spirit. A variety of amaro-based cocktails will then be offered for purchase post-tasting so guests can try their favourites along side other ingredients. Light snacks will be served.
General admission tickets are $30 each. Discounted tickets available for those who work in a restaurant or bar. Seating is limited to 20 people. Reservations and payment pre-event are required.
