If you’ve never been inside the Canadian Club Brand Centre before, you best be joining us soon!

As you may have heard, the Canadian Club Brand Centre will be closing its doors to tours at the end of the day on March 31, 2017. WindsorEats will be giving our last hurrah to the centre on March 4 with our final Drinks of Walkerville walking tour that includes the famous ‘Whisky Palace’.

Built by the famous architect, Albert Kahn, for Hiram Walker, the craftsmanship inside the building is truly stunning and unique.

The history surrounding the Walkerville neighbourhood in Windsor, Ontario, including the Canadian Club Brand Centre, has helped the Drinks of Walkerville walking tour to be named an Ontario Signature Experience.

The Drinks of Walkerville visits the Canadian Club Brand Centre where we’ll be introduced to Hiram Walker, his Canadian Club whisky and the stories behind his business before tasting some of his world famous whisky.

The tour then winds through the streets of Walkerville, learning about the architecture, stories of the days of rum running and the folklore that comes along with it before stopping at Walkerville Brewery for a flight of 4 beers and a 12oz beer of choice to take along through their brewery tour.

The tour finishes learning about the street art on The Willistead Restaurant before hopping in to sample some fantastic craft cocktails made at their bar.

With that being said, we’ve got huge plans for a revamped tour in the spring which we’ll be announcing soon. You’re gonna love it!
