A server brings out one of the meal courses at Jack's trivia dinner nights, the first Monday of each month.

Jack’s Gastropub is a popular destination for hungry folk in Kingsville, Ontario. Popular for their always creative ‘Burger of the Week’, Jack’s also hosts monthly Trivia and Beer Club nights and tends to be a Winter Bites Culinary Week favourite every time they participate. Another great thing about Jack’s? You can extend your dinner there into a mini vacation as Inn 31 is located above the restaurant allowing you to take in a day at the local wineries (like Colio Estate Winery who is offering a Winter Bites special tasting all throughout the week), a night at Jack’s and Inn 31 and the next day at Point Pelee National Park taking in nature.

Here is a showcase of the 3 Winter Bites selections that we here at WindsorEats are most excited about on their menu:

Mac N Cheese Croquettes
If you don’t love Mac N Cheese there is something wrong with you, especially when it’s made with 3 cheeses (Cheddar, Jack and Blue Cheese). Seriously.

Spicy Perch Tacos
A unique twist on a classic Mexican dish and with a local touch. The tacos contain shredded lettuce, red onion, black bean salsa and a chipotle mayo.

Chocolate Turtle Cake Pop
Another fun option from Jack’s during the 2012 Winter Bites Culinary Week are their Cake Pop dessert selections. Just because I can’t choose all 3 cake pop selections as an option, I’ll opt for Chocolate Turtle.

The full Winter Bites Culinary Week menu from Jack’s Gastropub can be viewed here. The Jack’s lunch menu is $15 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Winter Bites is Windsor and Essex County’s very own restaurant week. From January 16 to January 22, 2012, diners can visit any Winter Bites participating restaurant and indulge in a 3-course meal, created with 3 options in each course to choose from. Participating restaurants are open during their regular hours of operation.
