Tart & Soul Butter Tart Festival Coming to Windsor October 5, 2025
Butter tart lovers, rejoice—your sweet tooth is about to meet its match.
On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Tart & Soul Butter Tart Festival is making its Windsor debut at WindsorEats Food Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a mini edition of its wildly popular Canadian dessert celebration. We’re talking flaky crusts, gooey centers, and some wildly creative twists on this iconic treat—all in one delicious afternoon.
A Chatham Favourite, Now in Windsor
After a sold-out first festival in Chatham that drew over 3,000 tart fans, founder Doug Robbins (aka Doug the Foodie) knew Windsor was ready to join the tart party.
“After the amazing turnout in Chatham, we couldn’t resist bringing Tart & Soul to Windsor,” says Doug. “It’s a perfect pairing—great tarts, great people, and a city that loves food festivals.”
Meet the “Tartisans”
The festival will showcase some of Ontario’s best butter tart bakers (Tartisans), each offering their own signature styles and flavours. Whether you’re a no-raisins purist or someone who loves a butter tart with a surprising twist, you’ll find something worth lining up for.
Plus—you get to be part of the action by casting your vote for the People’s Choice Award to crown Windsor’s top butter tart.
A Sweet Day in the Middle of Spooky Season 🎃
This year’s festival lands right in the middle of Halloween Town—WindsorEats’ month-long Halloween popup running every weekend in October. That means you can pair your butter tart binge with spooky activities, Halloween-themed cocktails, live entertainment, and more. Come for the tarts, stay for the eerie good vibes.
“We’re all about food, fun, and friends at WindsorEats, so hosting Tart & Soul is a perfect fit,” says WindsorEats co-owner Adriano Ciotoli. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone to enjoy this sweet Canadian classic right here in Windsor!”
