After 9 delicious, pancake-filled years, Garfield’s—the cozy, family-owned gem known for serving up comforting eats, Ontario craft beer, local wines, and fresh Lake Erie fish—is flipping the last of its Sunday morning eggs. That’s right, folks. This Sunday will be Garfield’s final breakfast service.
Cue the soft sad music and a mimosa toast.
But don’t panic. This isn’t goodbye—it’s just a glow-up.
Starting next week, Garfield’s is switching gears and focusing fully on lunch and dinner, with new Sunday hours from 12pm to 7pm. So while your Sunday mornings might be a little less syrupy, your afternoons just got tastier.
“This shift allows us to focus on what we do best while creating a great experience for both our guests and our team,” the Garfield’s crew shared.
And honestly? Respect. Running a brunch service is no joke. Especially when you’re slinging local brews and crafting comfort food that feels like a warm hug from your Italian nonna (even if she’s not actually Italian).
Why the change?
The decision wasn’t taken lightly. Garfield’s has been a brunch staple for nearly a decade, becoming part of many locals’ weekend routines. But the team is leaning into what they love most—putting out hearty lunch and dinner plates that keep the community coming back for seconds (and thirds).
While some may mourn the loss of morning bennies, there’s still plenty to celebrate. Think juicy burgers, fresh-caught Lake Erie fish, housemade comfort dishes, and a curated selection of local wine and Ontario craft beer. Basically, Garfield’s is doubling down on the good stuff.
